On June 16, 2004, SanDiegoDiving.com will turn two years old! The site was born out of one man's desire to promote conservation of and exposure to the marine environment through diving.

Today, our goal remains the same, and we're off to a great start. In a mere 730 days, the website attracted more than 120,000 estimated visitors and more than 2 million pageviews! We've been lucky enough to have article contributions from the likes of Philippe Cousteau, Stan Waterman, Eric Hanauer and Larry "Harris" Taylor.

Since the first days of the site, we've added several new features including an image gallery, a diving dictionary, a mailing list and an archive for the news section.

In the future, we look forward to focusing on providing more information and building a more involved community. Our approach will leverage digital technologies build an even better resource where a new generation of divers can find out more about diving and the marine environment. In order to make our goals a reality, we need your help!

There is a limit to how much information any single editorial staff can provide, and in this new age of information sharing, no publication will be worthy of a bookmark in a browser without public input.
